ANDY HAWKINS
Sue Summer started Andy’s writing career. She asked her to take over her Newberry Observer column "Women in Motion" when she went to work in Columbia. Every time she submitted the column she learned something about writing, herself, and her audience. When she handed the column back to Sue, she was a more observant person and she was a better writer.
When the Newberry Magazine began, she became a contributing writer. Her favorite subject was artists/creative people. In the last several years, she has also written articles about her WKDK radio Off the “I” road trips with Susan Harrison. Writing, meeting creative people, and travel bring her joy.
